Admission and Registration Conditions
The quota of the program is 30 and it accepts students with a sufficient score from the TYT score type. Student placement in the quota is done by OSYM. The registration requirements are the same as the Higher Education Entry System.

Program Description
The Traditional Handicrafts Program is a program that can grant graduates the "Associate Degree Diploma in Traditional Handicrafts", which corresponds to the 5th level education level within the scope of the European qualifications framework.

Purpose of the Program
Traditional Turkish Handicrafts was established in order to examine the evolution of different art disciplines in the historical sense, to document the branches of handicrafts in artistic and scientific terms, to carry out maintenance and repair works of different art products and to train professional staff who can practice their reproduction in accordance with their original form. .

Vision

To be a program that can train technical personnel who have the qualifications required by contemporary vocational technical education and are preferred in national and international platforms.

Mission
It is to train technical staff who can meet the needs of the production sector in their profession, have sufficient professional knowledge and skills, and can research and develop innovations in their field.

The Need of the Industry
Companies serving in the field of handicrafts need personnel who have basic knowledge of culture, aesthetics, methods, techniques and materials specific to the field of Traditional Handicrafts and who have the capacity to teach this information and produce products.

Employment Opportunities
Students graduating from the field of traditional handicrafts can work as a master trainer or trainer in the field of handicrafts with the title of technician in line with the qualifications they have gained in the branch/profession they have chosen, They can work as a trainer for rehabilitation in social services, glass and ceramic workshops, glass factories, ceramic factories, natural dye workshops, stonework workshops, woodworking workshops, herbal knitting workshops or the sector, businesses that prepare carpet patterns, carpet factories, tile factories, touristic and souvenir production businesses, laser applique cutting companies, fashion houses, textile companies, home textile companies or they can work in their own workplaces.

Program Graduation Conditions
Students who successfully complete all 120 ECTS courses available in the program and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate.

Vertical Transition Sections
According to the results of the Vertical Transfer Exam; They have the right to transfer vertically to the Departments of Handicrafts, Traditional Turkish Handicrafts, Traditional Turkish Arts, Carpet-Kilim and Old Fabric Patterns, Illumination (Ornamentation) and Illumination.
