Admission and Registration Conditions
It is determined by OSYM in line with the relevant legislation of YÖK. While entering the two-year associate degree formal education Department of Design / Fashion Design Program, it was required to have completed any of the Textile / Apparel / Clothing departments of vocational high schools with a very good degree.

According to the latest legislation of ÖSYM, graduates of the following high schools can also be admitted to our program.

If a student has taken the exams to study in this program and has not been successful, the right of priority is given to the student who applied for the first time in that year when he retakes the exams the next year. Unlike two-year Vocational Schools, in order to study in four-year undergraduate programs, it is required to pass the threshold score of the ÖSYM exam and to be successful in the special talent exams of the relevant faculties.

Program Description
Fashion Design is an important and necessary industrial design field that has been formed to meet the clothing needs of different segments of society as personalized and ready-made clothing sectors. Our program, Akdeniz University Serik Gülsün Süleyman Süral Vocational School Design Department, is a state institution that provides associate degree (2 years) education as Fashion Design Program.

Purpose of the Program
Our program aims to train “assistant fashion design staff” who can produce contemporary, creative and original designs for the textile, ready-to-wear and fashion sectors, who know the materials and production techniques well. In addition, it is aimed to develop the basic and general conceptual perceptions of the students (line, form, shape, ratio / proportion, color, texture, etc.) by emphasizing the development of personal characteristics and abilities of the students, and at the same time to make original suggestions. Thus, the main goal is to train intermediate staff and practitioners who adhere to visual communication and design principles. In this direction, the aim of the instructors teaching in our program is to comprehend the basic principles of design, to be able to work as a team, and to have developed adaptation skills; is to bring contemporary young friends with a high interest in technology to life.

Vision
Able to reveal creativity skills on design infrastructure, perceive details in colors and shapes well, have an interest in art and social sciences, have the ability to draw, are interested and follower of developing technology, open to innovations, harmonious in teamwork, can establish positive relationships with people and have good observation skills is to train assistant fashion designers (technical intermediate staff) who are always sought after in today's textile and fashion industry.

Mission
While providing students with the ability to produce unique new interpretations and original designs in line with the main principles, elements and harmony principles of design, to train intermediate staff who have the ability to apply in clothing design and have a command of the subject. In line with the opportunities offered by technology in today's textile sector and in search of innovation (innovation), it is to train designers who can make original productions and/or technical intermediate staff who assist designers in this sector.

The Need of the Industry
Job opportunities related to Fashion Design are limited in Antalya province and its surrounding districts. Since the Mediterranean is a region that mostly appeals to the tourism sector, there is a need for costumes and accessories (such as masks, etc.) used in hotel animation shows rather than clothing fashion, especially in Antalya and its surrounding areas where tourism is intense such as Alanya, Belek, Beldibi, Göynük.
