Program Description
Our program offers theoretical and practical training in the fields of fiber knowledge, yarn, knitting, weaving, textile finishing and ready-made clothing.

Purpose of the Program
To train textile technicians who have the professional knowledge and technical skills needed by the industry, can easily adapt to business life and technological developments, have adopted the production of quality goods and services, can shape working principles with the principles of savings and efficiency, can be a good team member, and respect national and moral values. With this; Professional staff who know the structure of textile and apparel businesses, can follow the workflows effectively, solve problems and take the necessary precautions, design and sew a garment model, use the relevant machinery and equipment well, evaluate the resources by calculating the cost, and communicate well with their colleagues. aims to train.

The Need of the Industry
The textile and ready-made clothing industry has an important export potential for our country and is constantly developing. In parallel with this, job opportunities are constantly increasing for qualified and educated intermediate staff in terms of employment.

Employment Opportunities
The textile and ready-made clothing industry is concentrated in the provinces of Istanbul, Tekirdağ, Bursa, Denizli, İzmir, Uşak, Adana, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep in our country. Our students are generally yarn factories, hosiery factories, flat and circular knitting enterprises, weaving factories, dye-printing-finishing facilities, ready-made clothing and apparel workshops, textile testing laboratories, companies selling yarn and fabric testing equipment, machinery and equipment for textile production. It can be employed with the title of technician in companies that sell it.

Program Graduation Conditions
In order to graduate from the program, students must fulfill the success conditions in the Akdeniz University Education-Training and Examination Regulations.

Students who graduate from our program can transfer vertically to the following departments of the faculties; Fashion Clothing Design, Fashion Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Textile, Textile Engineering, Textile Design, Textile and Fashion Design.
