Admission and Registration Conditions
Our students are accepted with the Student selection and placement exam (TYT score type). Student placement in the quota is done by OSYM. Students with high school and high school equivalent diplomas who meet the provisions specified in the relevant legislation of the Council of Higher Education and the relevant regulations of Akdeniz University are accepted to our program.
Final registration to the university is made between the dates determined by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and with the documents specified for registration. Candidates who do not complete the final registration process between these dates lose their registration rights. Candidates who have the right to register will be able to register via e-government. Candidates who cannot register via e-government apply for registration in person or through their legal representatives or representatives authorized by a notarized special power of attorney. It is not possible to register with missing or insufficient documents.

Program Description
The Graphic Design Program was opened to education in the 2002-2003 academic year. He still continues his education and training activities within the Department of Design at Serik Gülsün - Süleyman Süral Vocational School. In the Graphic Design Program, theoretical courses that give general culture and art culture are common with other technical programs, and courses related to the field are separated. Starting from the third semester, the theoretical and applied courses in the field have been diversified, allowing students to specialize according to their individual preferences. In addition, the curriculum was enriched with elective, theoretical and applied courses and seminars in order to develop the ability to adapt to different fields and the spirit of teamwork.

Purpose of the Program
Developing students' knowledge and experience in design; It is aimed to examine the cause-effect relationships with different approaches and to reflect the inferences to the design processes.

To be a contemporary, qualified and productive exemplary "Graphic Design Program" in the social, cultural and artistic fields. To educate students as designers who can bring new functions to images with different approaches.

Mission
The Graphic Design Program is to train graphic designer candidates who are equipped with knowledge and skills in graphic design and application, who research, examine, question and have creative power, cultured, educating the society and improving their aesthetic tastes. To enable them to become individuals who can make new synthesis and analysis by using the cultural values of the society they live in with a contemporary interpretation.

The Need of the Industry
Graduates to meet the intermediate staff needs of institutions and organizations engaged in graphic design activities.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the Graphic Design Program, with the title of technician, are assistant graphic artists in promotion and advertising agencies, national and local newspapers, printing houses, assistant graphics and art in the units affiliated to TVs and in private enterprises and in the press, broadcast and promotion departments of public institutions and organizations. can work as consultants.

Program Graduation Conditions
An associate degree in Graphic Design is awarded to students who successfully complete all the courses available in the program (total 120 ECTS) and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. Students who successfully complete all the requirements of the curriculum they are registered in, such as courses, practices, internships, according to the provisions of the regulation, are entitled to receive a diploma. However, in order for a student to graduate;

a) Except for the preparatory class; To have received at least ECTS credits equal to the number of semesters in the curriculum multiplied by 30 or the number of years multiplied by 60,
b) To take all the courses and common courses in the curriculum, and
c) Must succeed in all the courses taken.
Having completed associate degree education and GPA;

a) Students with a score of more than 3.00 and less than 3.50, honor students and
b) Students with a score of 3.50 and above graduate as high honor students. This information is stated in the student's transcript and diploma supplement.

Vertical Transition Sections
According to the vertical transfer exam guides published by ÖSYM, different universities; Photography, Graphics, Animation Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Visual Communication Design, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design, Communication Design, Communication and Design Programs can pass to undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam. If they complete their undergraduate education, they can do master's, doctorate, become a research assistant and pursue an academic career.
