Admission and Registration Conditions
Students are accepted through a selection and placement exam. Final registration to the university is made between the dates determined by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and with the documents specified for registration.

Program Description

In the Stage and Decor Design Program under the Department of Design, theoretical courses that include general culture and art culture are common with other programs, and courses related to the field are separated. Starting from the third semester, the theoretical and applied courses in the field have been diversified, allowing students to specialize according to their individual preferences. In addition, in order to develop the ability to adapt to different fields and the spirit of being a team; The curriculum is enriched with elective, theoretical and applied courses and seminars.

Purpose of the Program
To train the "Assistant Stage and Set Designer" candidates as talented assistant stage and decor designers and practitioners who have research and creative power in the fields of their work, have developed visual perception skills, can create and apply decor elements that give the figure, object and space their stylistic characteristics.

Vision
To follow a student-centered education and training program in the field of Stage and Decor Design, in accordance with the requirements of the age. The vision of the Stage and Decor Design Program of the Department of Design is to raise professional people who can take responsibility, understand the value of time, use it effectively, research, and acquire the knowledge and skills to transfer scientific, technological, artistic and intellectual aspects to professional practice.

Mission
To train students who can contribute to the subjects of Cinema, Theatre, Decoration, Art and design with original studies, follow the needs and demands of today and the near future, work by producing aesthetic, economical and contemporary solutions, and can work in national and international platforms.

The Need of the Industry
Companies related to the Stage and Decor business need dynamic young individuals who follow, implement and construct developing technologies and designs. Our School plays an important role in closing this gap. In addition, our graduate students are directed to the intermediate staff needs of the decoration and interior architecture sector.

Employment Opportunities
Stage and Decor Design Program graduates primarily work in the Ministry of Culture, State Opera and Ballet Directorates, State Theatres, City Theatres, Advertisement, Show, Ceremony, Carnival, Festival, Television, Showcase Design Firms, Fair Stand Design Firms, Design Offices, Decoration Firms and also in Antalya and Antalya. They can work as an assistant Stage and Decor designer and implementer with the title of technician in the preparation of animation scenes of the hotels in the vicinity.

Program Graduation Conditions
Students who successfully complete all the requirements of the program, such as coursework, practice and internship, in accordance with the provisions of Akdeniz University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education-Teaching and Examination Regulations, are entitled to receive a diploma.

Vertical Transition Sections
Universities announced according to the vertical transfer exam guide published by ÖSYM; They can continue their education by passing the Vertical Transfer exam to the Departments of Stage Design, Stage Arts, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Stage and Performing Arts Management. If they complete their undergraduate education, they can do master's, doctorate, become a research assistant and pursue an academic career.
